Job Summary:
In this position, you will be working closely with development teams within SCEE R&D to help validate project requirements, design and quality. Feedback will be provided to developers through our issue tracking systems.
You will gain experience of all our platforms: PlayStation®2, PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable) and PLAYSTATION®3, through providing usability feedback and developing test cases, in C and C++, with our development hardware.
In addition you will also work on projects to automate and improve the efficiency of our development processes, such as writing automatic build and test systems, as well as working on installers for our software.
Personal Skills:You will need to be a strong team player, but be able act independently, professionally and proactively. You should be quick to learn new skills, use initiative and be eager to embrace new challenges and responsibilities.
Technical Skills:The following skills/experience are necessary:
- Demonstrable C/C++ skills and structured programming techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of basic testing techniques
- Strong problem solving skills
- A background of playing computer games with a desire to enter the industry
- Knowledge of object orientated design and implementation in Java/C++/C#
- Experience of developing Windows applications
- Experience of GUI application development
- Knowledge of source control systems and issue tracker software
- Have developed some game demos
